Double Major Program (ÇAP) and Minor Program (YANDAL)

Faculty of Letters offers Double Major and Minor Programs for the undergraduate programs.

What is Double Major Program (ÇAP)?
Within a Double Major program, students enrolled in an undergraduate program can be enrolled in another undergraduate program and receive the diplomas of two programs by satisfying the academic standing provided that the predetermined conditions are met.

What is Minor Program (Yandal)?
Within a Minor program, students enrolled in an undergraduate program can be enrolled in another undergraduate program and receive a minor program certificate of the latter and a major diploma of the former by satisfying the academic standing provided that the predetermined conditions are met.

Considering these definitions, Bachelor’s degree students can apply for a double major or minor program in another degree in the second or third year of their studies. The Faculty does the selection process according to students’ GPA within the relevant regulations and the second major program’s special conditions (For example, some language programs require a satisfactory exam score in the relevant language).
